There is a lot of information out on the Internet and conventional news sources on the Raw Milk issue these days. Unfortunately, the time and space allocated to the subject on the various news media, is so tiny that usually only the sensationalism of one small aspect of the argument tends to come through.
It’s a complex issue in the arena of debate, but for most advocates of raw milk consumption the rules are simple and confidence high, that consumption of raw milk from healthy, grass fed cows poses less risk than most foods at the local supermarket.
Are there reliable scientific studies and statistics
to back up this confidence in the value

2. FDA Slams Raw Milk:
Back in 2005 the US FDA/CFSAN – Division of Dairy and Egg Safety, made a presentation to the NCIMS (National Conference on Interstate Milk Shipments) “On The Safety Of Raw Milk (with a word about pasteurization)”.
The NCIMS, by the way, is “governed by an Executive Board comprised of representatives from state and local regulatory agencies from three different geographical regions, FDA, USDA, industry, and laboratories and academia.”
The presentation was made via a 69-slide presentation. The mood of the conclusions of this presentation could be best conveyed by one of the concluding slides which featured a quote by John F Sheehan (author of the presentation) in FDA Consumer, 2004, which stated that “Drinking milk or eating raw milk products is like playing Russian Roulette with your health”
